We are a small Episcopal Church on the banks of the Rappahannock in Port Royal, Virginia. We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional land of the first people of Port Royal, the Nandtaughtacund, and we respect and honor with gratitude the land itself, the legacy of the ancestors, and the life of the Rappahannock Tribe. Our mission statement is to do God’s Will in all that we do.

Garden Week in Port Royal, April 21, 2015

A Grand Day, April 21 for Garden Week in Port Royal

The spring weather couldn’t have been better after a storm the previous night cleared out lingering humidity. Garden Week in Port Royal and Caroline featured two homes in the village, open from 10am to 5pm:

1. Riverview, 923 Water Street.

2. Town Field. 207 Frederick Street This property will also have a horticulture exhibit from 11am to noon.

St. Peter’s through the help of the Royal Caterers (and hired help) provided box lunches for 175+ at Fall Hall. We gave tours of the church and also advertised our current ministries.   During the tours we made $250 for a future tablet restoration and collected some funds for the Community Give on May 5. The meals provided just under $1,400 net profit.

A photo gallery provided by Catherine and Barbara is here. Thanks to the many in the congregation who helped make it a success!

In addition the tour featured three other wonderful Caroline properties on the tour:

3. Moss Neck Manor 18253 Moss Neck Manor Road
4. Prospect Hill – 2426 Prospect Hill Lane
5. Rose Hill 23348 Tidewater Trail, Port Royal

Here was the complete tour description.
