We are a small Episcopal Church on the banks of the Rappahannock in Port Royal, Virginia. We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional land of the first people of Port Royal, the Nandtaughtacund, and we respect and honor with gratitude the land itself, the legacy of the ancestors, and the life of the Rappahannock Tribe. Our mission statement is to do God’s Will in all that we do.

ECM Breakfast Aug 13, 2011

The ECM met at Horne’s Restarunt for their second breakfast with 9 men present.

The group suggested a new ministry for St Peter’s informally titled "Transporation in Need." The idea was proposed by Mike Newman to provide an active list of parishioners that could be available to transport people to medical appointments and other needs such as shopping for food.  People could email or call this list of volunteers ideally ahead of their need for transportation.  The decision was made to announce it in Church on Aug 14 and first gather a list of volunteers who would specify days during the week they could serve and then formulate details of how the program would work in practice before setting a start date.

Helmut asked the men to available at 2pm on September 17 to help setup "Gospel on the Rivah." Also we were reminded of support necessary for the next community dinner on August 27. Fund raising ideas were discussed, such as selling food, but no decisions were made. Helmut provided a devotional reading from the Methodist publication, the Upper Room

The next breakfast will be September 17th, 8:30am at Horne’s.
