St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Port Royal, VA
We are a small Episcopal Church on the banks of the Rappahannock in Port Royal, Virginia. We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional land of the first people of Port Royal, the Nandtaughtacund, and we respect and honor with gratitude the land itself, the legacy of the ancestors, and the life of the Rappahannock Tribe. Our mission statement is to do God’s Will in all that we do.
I can’t leave Ash Wednesday this week without sharing this photo taken by Catherine late afternoon (after 4pm) on Ash Wed. St. Peter’s is situated so the late afternoon sun from the west come through the church. The light plays from one side of the church to the other in waves. This one is one of our hymn boards
