We are a small Episcopal Church on the banks of the Rappahannock in Port Royal, Virginia. We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional land of the first people of Port Royal, the Nandtaughtacund, and we respect and honor with gratitude the land itself, the legacy of the ancestors, and the life of the Rappahannock Tribe. Our mission statement is to do God’s Will in all that we do.

Parishioners help with Summer, 2023 Projects

From the August, 2023 newsletter

In addition to painting and termite control, other projects, both large and small, have taken place this summer. Johnny Davis has cut up and cleared a large limb that fell from the sycamore tree earlier this summer. He has also cleaned the gravestones in the graveyard.

Jim Anderson has adjusted the pew doors on the south side of the church, and BJ Anderson continues to make the delicious gluten free bread that we use each Sunday.

Although the choir takes a summer break, Denise Gregory, Larry Saylor and Ken Pogue covered for Brad’s unexpected absence one Sunday in July and provided music for our worship service that day.

Cookie Davis continues to provide flower arrangements for the church each Sunday, a labor of love that involves gathering what is blooming in the area and then artfully arranging the flowers for our altar.
