We are a small Episcopal Church on the banks of the Rappahannock in Port Royal, Virginia. We acknowledge that we gather on the traditional land of the first people of Port Royal, the Nandtaughtacund, and we respect and honor with gratitude the land itself, the legacy of the ancestors, and the life of the Rappahannock Tribe. Our mission statement is to do God’s Will in all that we do.

Grace-Grit – Corinthians

God intervenes through grace. Our response to grace is thanksgiving. It’s a call and response, a cause and effect. Sunshine and water grow gardens, gratitude grows as we acknowledge God’s daily grace shower. But grace causes more than an explosion of gratitude, grace produces grit! Because of God’s grace, “…we do not lose heart,” St. Paul says. Grace-grit is knowing that though my outer nature might be wasting away my inner nature is being renewed. Grace-grit is knowing that my afflictions are momentary in comparison to the eternal nature of glory. Because of grace-grit I can thrive wherever I’m planted, no matter the storm because of a guaranteed supply of Son shine.
