Save the date! Last year it was the “Thirteen”. This year we are presenting “Lyra” in concert, Tues., Sept 16 at 7pm. Lyra is a choir or professional musicians operating in St. Petersburg, Russia. They perform vocal music is associated with the Russian Orthodox Church and Russian folk music based on history and culture. A review from Zions Lutheran Church, Weatherly, PA stated “What is amazing is that each member of the group is an accomplished soloist in their own right and yet they perform as tightly knit ensemble. “
Thanks to a generous donation from the Diocese of Virginia’s Mustard Seed Grant Fund and many wonderful donations from parishioners, we now have less than $500 left to go to cover the $14,000 cost of the re-leathering of the bellows. The bellows are currently being repaired and the work will be finished in about a month.

““The Parable of the Wheat and Tares” (1540) – Lucas Gassel
“The kingdom of heaven may be compared to someone who sowed good seed in his field; but while everybody was asleep, an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and then went away. So when the plants came up and bore grain, then the weeds appeared as well. And the slaves of the householder came and said to him, `Master, did you not sow good seed in your field?” – Matthew 13:24-27
